No Rest for the Mending Elves

Had my post-surgery check up Tuesday. I'm doing fine but definitely not all healed up inside yet. Will go back in another 2 weeks. They will not begin any chemo treatments until I am completely healed from surgery. There's an awful lot for the little mending elves in my abdomen to mend! Sometimes I imagine them in there stitching and mending away, around the clock non-st0p. I guess I get that from the old story I read as a kid about the elves and the shoe maker. Anyone out there remember that one?

We hit our second Bachata dance class on Tues. evening. It's getting a little bit more tricky already, and the instructor went a little faster this time, which made me a little winded. Not much, but enough for me to know I was getting a little work out. But hey, we've been living in the desert mostly for the past bunch of years and Reno has a high 5,000 or so feet elevation. So that's our excuse and we're sticking to it!

You can go on You Tube & watch videos of Bachata dance. Of course, our class does not exactly look like the pros just yet. We are still learning basics and how to count "1, 2, 3, 4."

I'm having less bad days than good days lately, but still cannot sleep at night. Staring into the darkness all night is really getting 'tiring.' Ron says he's not getting much sleep either, but I am usually accompanied by snoring sounds while laying there wide awake. I wonder what that could be?
