GET OUT OF TOWN !

That's what Ron & I did this month when we took a road trip up to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho the 11th through the 17th. The traveling part went well for me, of course Ron did almost all the 1600 miles round trip of driving. I drove an entire 170 miles of it on the way back home!

We had a really wonderful time while in Cd'A. The Lord sure had a hand in making it that way. We saw lots of relatives and spending time with our grandson Jake was a highlight. Another highlight was seeing my dad who is 92 yrs old. He is so cute and any time spent with him is very special. Terry and Ruth really rolled out the red carpet for us and our many visitors who stopped by at all hours of the day. They must have had 8 to 12 people at their house for dinner every night for a week. And the food Ruth put on the table each day was better than any bed & breakfast you can imagine!

To all of you who made it a point to visit us there we want to thank you and tell you how much we enjoyed seeing you: My dad Roger, Casey & Jake, Rosalia & Steve, Sharon, Scott & Emmee, Katrina & Mike, Virginia & Ken, Desiree, Nevaeh & Caley, Linda G., Jessica & Haley, Linda & Jim B., Paul, Mark, Vince, Jasmine, Juli. We also enjoyed seeing Lorinda, Chris, Anissa & Mckenna, Melissa & Pat, Dorothy, and Tom. If I forgot anyone's name here please forgive me and blame it onto "chemo brain." I could go on thanking people and touching on more highlights forever as it was such a wonderful time (our pool game, the jam session, the Albuquerque blanket, etc., etc.)

Just a couple of days before we left on our trip, we moved out of the motor coach and into a little studio apartment for the winter. So since we got home we have been working on making our new little space homey and cozy. And we are now getting used to living in a square space instead of a rectangular one.

I have to say the move, then the exciting trip really did exhaust me, but I'm slowly recharging.
My white blood count was way down right after the trip, so I did have to just hold still for a day or two last week. Ron was a little tuckered out too.

Well, I'm feeling good now and still taking one day at a time. I'm excited that I can finally sleep on my side again. Couldn't for a long time since the surgery in May. And I actually laid on my stomach the other day for the first time since surgery. It's those little steps of progress God creates that just make my day.

We love you all, miss you all, and are praying for you all!~~~maria & ron
