CHEMO NINJAS TO THE RESCUE

Since I last wrote, I have had my lung drained 2 more times, and have recovered from the breast biopsy. Dr. Lim did more than just biopsy, he removed all of 2 huge lumps. I have a bunch of stitches.
My last appointment was Wed a.m. July14th. Dr said the biopsy showed positive for ovarian cancer. So the part that it's not breast cancer is good, the not good part is that this ovarian cancer is sooooo aggressive to be getting way up there like it did. It is time to fight.

My first chemo therapy treatment was that afternoon. Dr has pulled out all the big guns, and because the medicines are so potent, I will only go in once every 3 weeks for my chemo. He's giving me the strongest treatment I can handle. Of course there are many side effects, and everyone is different. Pretty much guaranteed to loosing my hair tho, eyebrows & lashes too.
During treatment they make you comfortable in a recliner chair and give you the IV. My whole treatment takes about 5 hours. You can bring snacks and each chair has a private TV. Ron was there, kind of in & out as he had errands to run. The whole experience for my first day was good.

I've heard that most people get real nauseous for the next day or two after chemo. I've had so many people praying for me that I did not suffer any of that! In fact the first day after, I felt great all day. I was able to go around town that day with Ron taking care of some things.
Yesterday, day 2, I felt ok, but not fantastic. I did a lot of sleeping. Today, day 3, I have a lot of abdominal pain. I think those old mending elves have turned into "Chemo Ninja's" and are using the high tech chemo weaponry to show the cancer who's boss! There's definitely a battle going on in there. EEEEYAAAA!

Last week we had a wonderful time with Terry & Ruth here in Reno. We hung out and kept everything low key so no one would get too pooped. It was so wonderful having them here.

I apologize for not blogging for so long. We had to wait till we could pay up the Verizon bill, but we are back online now. Keep your comments coming.
Thank you for all the prayer chains you've been putting me on and I know that there are thousands of people praying for me & Ron and we have little miracles happen every day. We appreciate you so much. God Bless You All~~~maria

  1. Hi Maria and Ron this is Marilyn
I wanted you to know that we have been praying for you from the beginning. I wish so much that i could be with you at least my son Johnathon helped me get the net back up and running so i can keep up and let you know that my heart goes out to you both. You both are very special to me .
GOD say that all things are possible to those who believe. GOD also said No evil will befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling. For the Lord has given His angels charge over me and they keep me in all my ways and in my pathway is life and there is no death (Psalms 91:10-11; Proverbs 12:28)
Maria and Ron i know that you will get through this you both are so special and so strong and full of life.
    I love you so

  2. Good Morning Maria and Ron
I pray all is well i tried to put up a picture for you but it did not work I will keep trying.
I know how the weight of worry can bring you down and keep you trapped but just remember one thing man may let you down but God never will he tell us that he will never leave us or forsake us. Psalms 138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me. I pray that as you reach out to him he will rap you in his loving arms and give you the comfort and love you need and that you may know how much he loves you and needs you and believe it or not he is the only one who knows and feels what you are going through and no matter what he will always be by your side.
May your day be full of the favor and love of the Lord.
With all our love the Wray family
